If you thought the first volume would make you question whether or not Aur was evil, this one will really get those wheels a turning.Now when we left off Aur was planning to amass an all-out attack against his first city, this does happen but it kind of feels brushed off. Aur is able to handily conquer the city with almost no trouble, even after making such a big stink about how difficult it is to efficiently take control of such a location. The city tries to resist him too, but they just get completely obliterated by Aur's army and his magic. They don't even bother showing us Aur interacting with the city officials or even entering the city himself, so if comes off as feeling like an empty promise for something greater.After that comes the big good vs bad debate, as a group of four high level adventurers infiltrate Aur's dungeon. They make their way deep enough to warrant Aur appear before them himself, but they didn't expect the loot they were picking up along the way to have been cursed by Aur. Aur then goes on a systematic process of corrupting each of the female companions, ultimately having sex with each one in front of their old male companion who he turns into a dullahan to replace the high level monsters they killed. It's pretty dark and takes up 75% of this volume, but you also have to look at it from Aur's perspective. These adventurers barged into his dungeon, killed his minions, stole his treasures, and then tried to take his life. Sure he took advantage of all of them, but you have to admit he came out better for it in the end. He gets a very powerful undead monster to guard his dungeon, and three more girls added into his harem.Not everything goes so smoothly for Aur however, as his constant attacks on cities as well as his defeat of the adventures has garnered him some unwanted attention in the form of a female strategist from a major kingdom. She tricks Aur into leaving his dungeon, captures him, and then tells Aur of what she knows about him. This gives us a little more background on the mysterious dungeon master, but Aur cuts the backstory short as his anger frightens the strategist into ordering his death. Stabbed by multiple spears, could this be the end of the road for Aur? Not likely.Next volume will actually be the first one containing completely new content I've yet to read, but that won't be until all the way in late October.
The first volume was good but this second one is somewhat good. I like the storyline as always but there is a lot of sexual content in this and it has the main character, Aur, corrupting 3 female adventurers to become part of his harem and he also proved it in front of there male companion before he was killed off and became one of Aur's dungeon monster. That was a bit dark.At the end of this manga, we find out more on Aur's background and that still got me interested in this manga once you get past all the NTR, mind-break, and death scenes.
How to Build a Dungeon started popping up on Amazon as an item that might interest me, so I finally ordered a copy. The first volume was good enough for me to want to order Volume 2. The storyline is compelling as it its central character, Lord Aur. This is definitely not a series for everyone; its sexual content is very strong and Aur uses means of bringing women under his control that would have feminists wanting to burn him at the stake at the very least. Still, he calls to mind Matt Wagner's character Grendel. Both are evil yet there is something fascinating about them. We see that when Lord Aur subjugates towns, the towns end up being better led and the populations liking his changes. Aur's meditations on what motivates people make for intriguing reading. This volume has Aur defeating a band of adventurers but by the end, we meet Cass, a young woman who seems to be a worthy opponent for him. Also introduced is a new guard, a dullahan. We already have Lala in Monster Musume, another dullahan in Interviews With Monster Girls and now this. The new hot thing in monsters perhaps? It makes one speculate: SCENE IN EDITOR'S OFFICE. Editor--"Yeah, it's a good zombie story kid, but zombies have peaked. Write me something about a dullahan, maybe a tough but sensitive one the CW could build a series around, and we'll do lunch."
This is what most Dungeon core readers want. It's very dark and has mind breaking scenarios that really sets the mood and demonstrates why this is for a MATURE audience. This is better than most H material and this volume is what made me purchase all of the volumes in one day!
Was in the Hentai listing so I’m disappointed there’s only topless nudity. Great story. But hentai is more engaging for me
Art can get confusing at times, where you are trying to tell what you are looking at when the deed is going down. Its good but not a must have. Story is all right.
Quite the cliffhanger but the next book is until October! Ahh!!But nothing quite much happens except get new allies through unorthodox methods, which took majority of the book.
Not really Hentai. Slightly entertaining.
