Overall, I enjoyed the book. As pointed out in numerous other reviews, Twitch was most definitely a bad guy. He had some redeeming qualities that made him not altogether unlikable. Yes, it was a bit of a stretch that Lexi, a social worker trying to keep "her kids" away from drugs, was able to completely ignore the fact that Twitch was a drug dealer, but, hey, it's fiction. I find that, if the characters are likeable, the story overall is enjoyable, and the writing is good, I can far easier ignore things like that. I do wish she'd at least have had a few pangs of guilt about it here and there, though.The sex is definitely worth mentioning here. There are some instances of violent sex here which will turn the stomach of some. Consider yourself warned. Others won't mind, some will even find it hot.*****possible spoilers*****I know that for some, the idea that a (almost) rape victim could possible be turned on and enjoy role playing a rape scenario was impossible to fathom, but those people don't know each and every rape victim, nor do they speak for them. When Lexi had serious qualms about the enjoyment of such, she went so far as to speak with a psychologist she knew about it. No, it's not unheard of and there's nothing wrong with it. To imply otherwise is, in the minds of some rape victims, a form of victimization.*****end possible spoilers*****The biggest problem I had with this story was the ending. Without going too much into detail, it just didn't make sense as to why the author chose to end it the way she did. It does seem that making sequels to books is all the rage now but, honestly, I just don't care for it. Not saying that she does plan on a sequel, but it certainly leaves room for one - or maybe there is already one and I just didn't come across it yet. Normally, when a book ends in a (potential) cliffhanger, I rate it three stars max, however, because I enjoyed the story so much otherwise, I felt compelled to give it four.
maybe spoiler alert... More like a warning to readers. This story ends with a cliffhanger, sort of. IT WAS NOT A happily ever after. And the book that's next in this series IS NOT the continuation of this book, the next book revolves around their friends, so who knows when the continuation of this story will come out, or if there will ever even be one. I'm so disappointed. This story was so good but SOOO hard to read. The lead male character Twitch is a seriously bad dude and he puts the lead female Lexi through SOOO much crap. I almost wished she woyldnt/won't forgive him. I can't respect a lead female who forgives someone for repeatedly enabling him to hurt her. Most people will say that she didn't give up on him because their love was just so strong that she was able to over come all his mistreatment, I wish I could see it that way too, but that's not me. I don't see it as giving up on someone, I see it as moving on from a horrible situation/person. Now, that being said, I can say that I was also very enthralled with this book.I never put it down. I'll probably read the next book(s), but this story was emotionally exhausting for me. I'm going to have to read something a little lighter before reading the next book. Few!

But not me I found it HAWT!! One minute he is hot the next cold. His character made the book for me so much more special. Do to his past and issues he isn’t normal like everyone else. He understands things differently and that has made him the man he is today!This is not a book full of sunshine and rainbows, it’s the exact opposite.Personally loved the ending, so many theories on to what is next to come in the series. My friends even my mom who I recommended the book too is obsessed with this book! We send so many messages to each other guessing what will happen next.One thing I will say is that I am so ready for Dirty!P.S.This book got me out of my comfort zone, and I am glad I read it. It is a unforgettable story that love can be found in the most unlikely places. If you have not read this book, give it a chance. You won’t regret it!
