It was a wild steamy ride about secrets, betrayals, lust and all the different sides of love. If you have read other books by this author, you know what kind of intensity to expect. If you are new to this author, then get ready, you’re going to feel this one!Don’t Let Me is the first book in The Simplict Duet and I am already impatiently to see how it all ends, especially with that cliffhanger! Damien, Olivia and Jaxson are all deep emotional characters and they have a history...a history filled with secrets, temptation, lust, and love. But those secrets have the power to make or break them all...I really loved each of these characters. When it comes to Olivia, both Damien and Jaxson have their strengths and weaknesses but she is the glue that keeps them together. I loved that she had that power, however this girl really struggles with the pull from each and I wouldn’t want to be in her position!I highly recommend that you snatch this book up right away and get started, you are definitely going to want to be ready for the next book!
4.5 StarsDon’t Let Me is the all new fantastic novel by Marie Skye. It is the first book in the Simplicit Duet and it was so good! I have seriously missed this author's words and her crazy good imagination. This book completely surprised me in so many ways. Filled with twists and turns that I never saw coming, Don’t Let Me takes you on a crazy ride. Mind. Seriously. Blown.This review is going to be super short due to not wanting to give any spoilers away. I will say that it was so unexpected. There were so much depth to the characters and they captivated me from the get-go. In Don’t Let Me, three people’s lives are so closely intertwined that it is hard to know who is telling the truth and who isn’t. All three characters have kept secrets. Will the world that they know implode once they are revealed?All in all, Marie Skye wrote a phenomenal story! I honestly cannot wait to see what happens in the conclusion!!!
Okay, I have to say this book surprised the he11 out of me! I was blown away! I'll admit I was a little skeptical when I first read the blurb, but I'm really glad I had the opportunity to read it and that I gave it a chance. Honestly, I never should have doubted Marie Skye. I've everything else I've read of hers, why would this be any different?!Don't Let Me is a unique tale with an edge to it. It felt raw and I felt like you could really connect with the characters, especially Olivia. You could feel her conflict and insecurity about the situation she was in.There were some twists and turns and the ending was absolutley shocking! I saw a hint somewhere that this would be a duet. I really hope that's true as I have so many questions!If you are looking for something a little darker, this is it! If you've read the Incapable series you'll absolutely love this novel! Great job, Marie Skye!
OMG!!! This is book 1 in the Simplicit Duet... and HOLY. HECK. What did I read?!?! This book will take you on one-heck of an emotional roller coaster ride!! I have been a huge Marie Skye fan for a long time now and her words are phenomenally written! You will be on the edge of your seat reading this... these characters (Damien, Jaxson & Olivia) will simply leave you NEEDING more!! The connection these 3 have are off-the charts sexy! I can’t wait for book 2... (Like NOW)If you’re needing an AMAZING book that will leave you wanting more, and having to pull your jaw up off the floor then I’d advise you to “one-click†NOW!!! You won’t be disappointed. (If you’ve read books by Marie Skye before, you’ll notice an appearance from previous characters in this book) **SWOON**I have received an ARC for an honest review!!
Hummm. Sitting here I’m trying to comprehend what I read and I feel like because this is the first in a duet that I won’t really get anything until then next book. This book is a love triangle of sorts but it’s very twisty. The characters have their own motives for doing the things they do and I found them all intriguing. I won’t go into too many details but I will say I hope the next book comes out soon. The author left us with a lot of open ends and I look forward to seeing the end and how it will play out for these characters. 4 stars #2OCCJD
This is a new to me author and I am intrigued. First of all, this book is sizzling hot. Ms. Skye does a great job on the steamy scenes. I enjoyed the three main characters and the mystery running through the story. Ms. Skye did a great job slowly unraveling the backstory through the eyes of the three main characters. I did find the plot a but disjointed at times, possibly dies to frequent time jumps. The book could also benefit from better editing. However, I definitely enjoyed this book and will read book two once it comes out.
5 smokin' hot stars!!! This book packs the heat!!I wasn't sure what I was getting my hands on when this book landed on my kindle. But let me tell you it was worth the read! The passion, the heat, the heart it's all so perfectly put together. I had a hard time putting this down. I mean I did when I had to fan myself off!This is the first book I've read by Marie Skye, but I can tell you this won't be the last!
OMG!! I need book 2 now!! I am a huge huge fan of Marie Skye and every word she writes. I absolutely love the fact that I never know where I’m going to end up and what twists and turns I’m going to experience and this book is no different. It was steaming hot, well written and I still have no idea what’s going to happen in book 2, I can’t possibly call it (and I wouldn’t want to) but I need it!
