I ordered the new paperback version of this book and there are creases where it has been used and a large crease on the back cover. Iâ€™m dissatisfied and upset with the quality. This is NOT NEW and I was seemingly overcharged for a USED book. I am pursuing a return/refund, and will have to absorb the additional cost for a new hardcover book.Also, I read the international version isnâ€™t supposed to be permitted in the USA, but sure enough that is what arrived...seems contradictory.

Nice and clear diagrams for reactions. Colour coded with clear electron paths. Great resourceNice text book to use, with end of chapter lists of reactions which are great for double checking with on open book tests.Don't dread opening it.

I've found that with many chemistry textbooks, exposition is not their strong point! The content is good, but explanation and tying together of concepts is lacking.

This book made me fall in love with Jesus. In the contemporary narrative of Christianity, I was losing faith, this book made me long for more and gave me renewed strength. Somebody needs to make this an audiobook.

Amazing and utterly fascinating , I have read this several times .The closer you draw to Jesus the more He reveals himself to you which is stunning terrifying and altogether incredible , Praise God he lifts us up and His name we proclaim !

This book reveals that the Christian church was not an all-agreeing, lock-step entity at its inception. This book contributes to the reader's understanding of the socio-political and the religious environment that produced a variety of beginnings of Christianity. Also, the book functions as a catalyst for change in the way the reader perceives the canonized, Holy Bible. This book answers the why and the how the Bible includes what it includes. The why and the how as to the rejection, suppression, and the attempts at the destruction of the gnostic books are also given.

Very interesting. Its more in line with what I believe about Jesus. Of course who says what I belirve is who Jesus was. Has a metaphysical bend that can't be denied. The New Age Jesus. A more adult and human Jesus that I can believe in. The son of God who allowes we are all sons of God.

I'd always been curious about the Gnostic Gospels and wanted to read it for myself. Meyer's gives a good, brief introduction before each book. I am glad that I purchased it!

the topic of the gnostic gospels is vast, and any one resource less than 10,000 pages isn't likely to cover much. that's a limitation that any reader must acknowledge before hand. the selection of readings is very good, quite stimulating (at least for this reader). the was very layman-friendly. as a layman, i appreciated the ease of reading it. i wish it had adopted a more scholarly approach, but, that's more a personal preference. if you want a highly scholarly book, this probably isn't it. it's terrific for the rest of us. i can not comment on the accuracy of translation. overall, i give this a "B++" and i highly recommend your reading it, for laymen and busy in-the-field professionals. very nicely done!!! finally, for every book on kindle for which i must pay over $10, i must comment that, in my opinion, since amazon has already charged us for our kindles, the prices of books on kindle ought to be reduced. it doesn't cost amazon $7 to market this book!

This book is a great introduction to the gnostic gospels, especially if followed up by "The Nag Hammadi Scriptures: The International Edition" also by Marvin Meyer. Anyone who is reading these books in search of truth is on the path of true discovery. There are many translations of the Nag Hammadi Scriptures and the gnostic gospels readily available, and while some may be good, others are not. That being said, you won't go wrong here. This book, which is easy and accessible, is a good place to start for anyone who is just becoming familiar with these gospels and texts. For those who are already familiar with these texts, I highly recommend Meyer's other book: "The Nag Hammadi Scriptures."

Great read, nice to hear more about Jesus and I feel my knowledge of his life and wisdom has greatly increased. If you want to know Jesus for who he is you must read every writing that mentions him not just the ones in the Christian Bible.

I'm an owner in 2 facilities & have been working through this book recently. I highly recommend it! It is practical & insightful. I've been in the storage business for 7 years & can confidently say that this book is a must-read for storage owners/operators. I love the way it is broken down into "bite-size" segments. You don't have to accomplish it all at once. You just keep moving forward one day at a time.Really helpful!

I loved this book! It was full of useful information covering everything from sales, marketing, customer service and simple tips. It is written in a way that engages you as you are reading it. I didn't care for this book. I thought it would be a book of time tested principles and operating practices. I thought it would help you navigate the dangerous waters of liability, leasing policy, answering tough questions, saving money on insurance and operating costs, etc. Instead it can be summed up in one word- "marketing". They could say do a lot of creative marketing and this would suffice. I took marketing in college and in this case it didn't help me. In fact they recommend you do things I would never do. One that comes to mind is to set up a college fund to give away for a local high school student each year, in hopes to gain community publicity. Well, it doesn't sit well with me. I don't think that would create demand. The book acts like you actually create demand for self storage. In my opinion when someone needs a place to put stuff, that creates demand. You can market all day long to a guy with a house and barn out back and he's just not going to yield to the catchy ads and move his barn out into your storage facility. You can't make people think they need self storage when they don't. The best way marketing can serve a storage facility is simply by making it possible for consumers to find you and be aware of you. But we live in a day and age where consumer behavior is savvy and they know how to find what they want and will seek it out. That's my opinion. Always a risk, giving honest feedback about a book generally brings out the haters who disagree- particularly the author. So for my purposes and my background, the book isn't for me. If you havn't a clue how to do marketing, maybe it would be for you. But the ideas presented in the book are so down right boring and basic, I can't help but wonder who would be so incompetent as to actually need this book. And for those who take personal offense because I didn't like the book, you are certainly welcome to your opinion as long as you respect mine.

I am a self storage manager and bought this book to learn more on how to market my facility. It's full of wonderful ways to get not only more rentals but friends as well. I have 35 other storage facilities within a 5 mile range and needed all the help I could get. If I could have given it 10 stars I would have. It's a must have tool in todays market. 2nd of the last 8 books that i purchased in the Injustice story arc that have had bent covers or pages. The story is fantastic and worth a read. But replacements may be in your future so you may have to wait longer to read. That being said 6 others were in otherwise perfect condition.

I'm a superman fan. Have been for years. And while I hate to see him be a bad guy, it does work. This entire series has been like Elseworlds on crack. Just a ready fun series.

I canâ€™t get enough of this series

Engaging and thought-provoking a different look Superman and Batman. Really fun to read. Makes you want to see how it will all end.

But this smart, amazing young man perseveres against unsurmountable odds and head held high, proves himself a winner--a survivor. I cheered because no one deserved it more! When the final buzzer sounds, Dave Hendrickson's Cracking the Ice will have you shouting GOOOAAAALLLL!

Since the plot and characters have already been described very well by another review I will keep this simple. Historical fiction. I HIGHLY recommend this book. The subject matter which is realistic, provides a great read for guy OR girl teen and above. I am an adult and couldn't wait to pick it up again to see what would happen next. If you want to keep your teens interested in reading (perhaps a good summertime book), buy this for them and then treat yourself to a read.

Absolutely loved this book! Any age will enjoy it and the younger generations will learn and hopefully do not repeat the mistakes we older generations did. Bullying and discrimination needs to stop! David also loved the local flavor of Lynn, Ma where I grew up. I am telling my friends that this should be a mandatory read for their students. Great job'

'Cracking the Ice' is very well written and entertaining----My wife and I read it in one day. It would make a great movie. We have recommended this book to all of our friends with children and grandchildren in the hockey schools here in the Northeast.

This is a great read. It doesn't take long before you're sucked in and can't put the book down. I'm so glad I picked it up to read, and I can't wait for his next book.
